Well the winter weather has finally hit; at the highest we never break -10 in the sun. The snow has been just fluffing for two days now coating everything in a fresh white skiff. As for how the house is coming a long we have made leaps and bounds since my last update. Our granite countertops showed up early and were installed a couple of days ago. We how our basement shower all tiles, grouted, and shower doors installed - just waiting a few days for it to dry. Alan has been here for two days getting us hardwood in the master bedroom; dad is installing the tile in the master bathroom. We have a door on the bathroom! and even on our bedrooms downstairs. We are working on getting cleaned out of the trailer - Dan had the last shower in their last night and now it will be winterized and sold! All in all we are doing great. I'll post pics soon.

It has been a while since I updated the blog; but that only means there is much more stuff for me to tell you all now!
Dad was in B.C for just over a week taking his break from Dan and I (and us from him). On his way back he brought mom and Halicia (my painting force!); he also brought back a bed for Dan and I (Thank you Jamie) and ALL of our interior doors (well except for the one they charged us for and never actually gave us). Becuase the load was so large dad had to 'modify' his truck slightly...
You can't read it in this photo but he wrote on the back of his truck "The things we do for our kids" (he even spelt it all right so mom must have helped"
Yup! he raised the canopy on his truck by bolting down plywood walls!
Because the back of the truck stuck up above the cab it created a vacuum over the roof of the cab. They stopped in Merrit to sprayfoam the snot out of it.... while passer by's shook their heads in confusion
While dad was away the drywallers finished up (mostly). When my work crew arrived we dove right into things. Dad layed the tile in the shower downstairs.
Dan and I have been sleeping on the concrete floor in the basement. We have two double mattressed pushed together and it has been HEAVEN!
We have even managed to get a toilet installed! every once in a while that is. We installed it, took it out to tile, installed it again, and so on. Sure is better than sitting on the outhouse seat at -5 :)
We have our fireplaced hooked up... but to turn it on you have to take the two bare wires sticking out of the wall and twist them together; then get the extention cord and plug in the fireplace fan (hobo!). But it has given us a nice warm place to eat our meals.
We have all the interior doors stacked in the middle of the living room and are working around them. One day they may even get installed! *rolls eyes* but I'm not holding my breath.
This is my stove!! Dad bought it and brought it all the way from the coast; we then but it into storage right away. So we have had the stove for about fourth months now and this is the first time I get to see it. Good thing I like it because I don't think dad would take it back if I didn't. AND! It's even big enough to fit my cookie sheets in!
Alan has been out helping us as well. Yesturday (Friday) Dan called in sick to work - he really was sick for the morning; but him and Alan managed to get all the cedar done on the front porch and hang the lights. The orange beams running around the outside will get covered in cedar too (even though the orange doesn't look too bad anymore)...
So right now we have the siding guys here working on the outside; Alan and Dan working on the cedar in the back deck; a guy installing the sibfloors for where-ever we are putting tile; and me taking pictures and hiding from the 'boss'.
We still need more painting help so if anyone wants to fly out for aweekend!!
Oh, and by the way Sunday the Rough Riders play in the CFL finals (last game before the Grey Cup) So everyone should watch it and cheer for the green and white!!!!!!
